The Challenge
I was commissioned by MinaLima to design the official guide for the Game of Thrones Studio Tour in Northern Ireland.
The brief was to create a publication that felt at home within the established visual world of the Studio Tour, bringing together photography and content into a cohesive visitor guide that fans would want to keep.
The Work
I designed the cover and the complete 48-page guide, working with MinaLima and the Studio Tour team throughout the project.
We had a mountain of images to choose from. Game of Thrones is such rich visual world, and we wanted the guide to both celebrate the “in-world” images and the behind-the-scenes craft that went into making the series.
The Outcome
The finished guide was produced to a high specification, with a heavyweight cover and spot UV detailing on the logos, to give it a premium finish.
It was a big seller when the Studio Tour first opened. And if you’re a Game of Thrones fan, the Studio Tour itself is well worth a visit.
